《罗摩衍那》是印度最伟大的两部史诗之一，讲述了阿逾陀王国的王子罗摩，因宫廷阴谋被流放森林十四年。他的妻子悉多和弟弟罗什曼那，不顾王室生活的安逸，甘愿陪同罗摩一起前往森林，共同承受这场磨难。

The Ramayana is one of the two greatest epics of India, telling the story of Rama, prince of the kingdom of Ayodhya, who was exiled to the forest for fourteen years due to a court intrigue. His wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana, unwilling to remain behind in royal comfort, chose to accompany Rama into the forest, sharing in this hardship together.

就在森林生活逐渐安定下来的时候，兰卡岛的十首魔王罗波那设下诡计，趁罗摩不在身边，将悉多劫走，囚禁在了遥远的兰卡岛上。罗摩悲痛万分，决心不惜一切代价，也要将妻子救回身边。

Just as life in the forest was settling into a routine, the ten-headed demon king Ravana of Lanka set a cunning trap, and while Rama was away, he abducted Sita and imprisoned her on the distant island of Lanka. Overwhelmed with grief, Rama resolved to do whatever it took to bring his wife safely home.

Aya said, "He asked around and searched everywhere, meeting many allies willing to help him along the way, and the most important one of all was the leader of the monkey army."

While searching for Sita, Rama met the monkey king Sugriva and his devoted minister Hanuman. Hanuman possessed extraordinary powers, able to soar through the clouds and change his form, and he volunteered to leap across the sea, sneaking alone into Lanka, where he finally discovered the exact location where Sita was imprisoned.

Lanka was surrounded by sea on every side, and the army could not cross directly. Rama's monkey army worked together with one heart, hauling massive stones and driftwood, laboring day and night without rest, until they had built a sturdy bridge across the raging waves, allowing the entire army to cross the sea.
